This week’s news spotlight is… Zayden Arnold. Zayden (Zay) is a young student athlete who attends Saugus High School graduating in the class of 2029. He’s about 5’7 135 pounds and predominantly plays on the defensive side of the ball. He also plays special teams. Zay and his JV football team are 5-1, their only loss being to Valencia. When asked about his performance and team performance, he had many words to say.
“Honestly the team is looking really good. I feel like our whole district has been doubting our school for the past couple years, so it feels really good to prove them wrong. We’ve pretty much destroyed every team except Valencia. I myself could have played better, that’s the only game I’ve led up a touch down that was my fault. Every other game I’ve been “strapping up” with many take aways.”
How did you feel before the season started? Did you think you were gonna play as much or as good as you’ve been playing.
“No, I thought as a mid size freshman I wouldn’t play as much but I got an opportunity and showed off. Got in on D and didnt let nobody by me, we was strapin”
What happened to your mistake Valencia?
“I let my guard down and got lazy. That was all my fault and I shouldn’t have done it.
Perfect well I wish you a good luck for the rest of your season Zayden
“Thank you”
