The Titans who just fired their head coach after a 1 and 5 start might be righting the futures ship. The Titans who in the past had the likes of Derrick Henry and head coach Vrabal have struggled to get their footing in recent years. Under their recently fired head coach not much was happening. Other than drafting Cam Ward who they hope to be their new franchise QB not much has been done to change the state of the team. The Titans have been a lost cost for about 5 years now and fans are now starting to get rowdy about how their team is being run. This ultimately led to their last head coach being fired.
The problem for the Titans is that they really haven’t been relevant causing gate money to go down hurting the team’s rebuild due to the lack of money coming into the team. Although their new QB addition has been drawing some fans back to the stadium, some are still very hesitant to do so because of the chance of wasting their money going to a game that their team is going to get blown out by. Many fans have started to realize this over the past few years and want change in how the team’s foundation is laid for their team. Fans want something to root for if it is a fun QB to a fast wide out fans want something to watch and see if that can propel their team.
With no head coaches decided after this decision it leaves the team in a predicament: find a coach fast or let the season play out. They chose the route of firing their head coach, turning the season on its head. A new coach means a new way of life in the NFL. This means new play calling new club house rules and different early and late game tactics. Winning over the club house is a big deal too. Not only does this gain a sense of respect in the club house it also makes the players want to win for their coaches. This can boost morale in the clubhouse physically and mentally as well.
A quote from an NFL fan stated “Sometimes the talent of the team is not what makes them great, it’s their coaches that support and root for them the team and builds those relationships is what makes a team great”(G Altman). But this quote also varies with other NFL fans quotes that stated “As much as a coach helps the process it really is up to the players and how much they care to win, if you have team that wants to get better and win they will, a coach is not the solution its the core of guys you build up around the coach that makes the team great”(B Altman). As the future is dark and uncertain, fans want a coach that can bring their team to a new level. In recent years teams have seen a dramatic increase in how many head coaches have been fired. Although sometimes this turns around the trajectory of the team it lately hasn’t been as effective and setting teams back 5-10 years. This has been an anomaly as most of the time when head coaches are appointed you can immediately feel the impact and new ways the team is being taught and used. So for the Titans fans it is not about how good the players are and can get right now it’s finding that guy that can build them to be great and help the team win. Nowadays finding that coach becomes harder and harder as teams claim most of the good head coaches off of free agency teams that wait to pull the trigger are left with coaches that aren’t as qualified and experienced. This has been Alex on the Titans head coach dobakel.
