Zach Bryan is no longer a country music artist, but a phenomenon. With his new and long-awaited album out, titled With Heaven on Top, Bryan has made one truth obvious: he is one of the most important people in the music industry, and his impact will not be forgotten. With his unbridled and unfiltered artistry, Bryan has inspired a generation by drawing his audience into a world of unfiltered emotion and unscripted storytelling. His fans could not wait for his new music and the way his new music will translate to a concert, as he heads off to tour his new album, With Heaven on Top, along with his With Heaven on Top tour.
The rise of Zach Bryan to the top of the music industry hasn’t been a normal or usual one. This is because Bryan is originally from Oklahoma and was a Navy enlistee before taking the limelight by storm with his sincere efforts and original attitude that separated him from the rest of the world. His initial songs, including his 2022 popular album American Heartbreak, marked the beginning of his successful career where he captured the essence of his personal life through his songs not just once or twice, but now with his most recent album dubbed With Heaven on Top. The album is also notorious for its raw quality and lack of consistency, which has endeared Bryan to his fans but also raised controversies among critics. However, despite receiving controversial reactions, no one can contest that Bryan has merit based on his talent for conveying vulnerability in all his lyrics, his disregard for the need for polish in his recordings, and his willingness to tread new paths.
Zach Bryan is coming to San Diego July 31st and August 1st 2026, so if you live in Santa Clarita that would be your time to go see him as they are his only California shows. Get your tickets while you can because they will surely sell out quickly!
The With Heaven on Top tour promises to be a journey through the full spectrum of Zach Bryan’s musical evolution. The setlist is expected to include a mix of fan favorites from his previous albums, along with a deep dive into his latest work. Songs like Runny Eggs, Bad News, and Santa Fe are likely to take center stage, as these tracks have already gained strong reactions from fans. Each of these songs showcases Bryan’s ability to blend storytelling with raw emotion, making them ideal for live performances. Additionally, more intimate tracks like DeAnn’s Denim and Aeroplane will likely provide a contrast, offering moments of quiet reflection amidst the more raucous anthems. And given the experimental nature of With Heaven on Top, there’s bound to be room for surprises—whether that’s unexpected arrangements or new material that hasn’t yet made it onto the setlist.
With Heaven on Top features a blend of Bryan’s classic sound and new experiments with horns, jazz influences, and a broader range of instrumentation. The album kicks off with the spoken word piece Down, Down, Stream, a contemplative track that sets the tone for the introspective nature of the album. Tracks like Appetite and Dry Deserts offer something closer to the anthemic energy fans have come to expect from Bryan, while others, like Skin and You Can Still Come Home, bring out a more tender, emotive side. However, With Heaven on Top also explores new territory. Songs like Bad News, which tackles political themes with a rare level of complexity, demonstrate Bryan’s willingness to speak on societal issues, adding a layer of depth to his music. While some tracks have been praised for their emotional power, like South and Pine with its lush orchestral elements, others, such as Cannonball and Plastic Cigarette, illustrate the struggle that comes with Bryan’s relentless pursuit of authenticity, sometimes resulting in songs that feel unfinished or rough around the edges. For fans who have followed Bryan’s career from the beginning, this mix of new and familiar will likely be a highlight of the tour. The live versions of these songs will give Bryan a chance to refine his sound, giving fans a chance to hear the music evolve in real time.
