Tour Overview
Kali Uchis spent late summer 2025 doing something new for her which is a true arena run. The Sincerely, Tour kicked off August 14 in Portland and wrapped September 28 at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood. In between, she hit New York, Miami, Houston, Chicago, Toronto, and L.A. The rooms were huge, but the nights didn’t feel distant because she kept the mood soft and close, like the album.
Background
Kali Uchis, real name Karly Marina Loaiza, was born in Alexandria, Virginia. Growing up her childhood was split between the U.S and Colombia. That’s why she is easily able to switch between English and Spanish during her songs. She built her career step by step by releasing the Drunken Babble mixtape in 2012, the Por Vida EP in 2015, the breakout debut Isolation in 2018, the Spanish album Sin Miedo in 2020 which included hit song “telepatia”, Red moon in Venus in 2023, Orquideas in 2024, and most recently Sincerely 2025. Her audience grew bigger with every release which is why she’s able to sell out arenas now.
Early influences and sound
Growing up in the United States and Colombia meant she was around two different kinds of music. In her melodies you can hear oldies and soul, Colombian pop in her harmonies, and some 2000s R&B the way she phrases some lines. She’s also made many collaborations with artists such as Tyler The Creator, Daniel Caeser, Kaytranada, BIA, and Omar Apollo. These collaborations allowed fans from different directions to keep finding her music.
Awards
Before this tour, Uchis already earned a grammy via “10%” with Kaytranada. The trophy was a big accomplishment but the best award was the attention she would receive from fans. Suddenly people who didn’t follow Latin or R&B closely knew her name. That kind of recognition helps when you go from performing in theaters to arenas
The Sincerely Album
Sincerely, (released May 9, 2025) is the heart of this tour. Uchis has said these songs came from real life experiences – becoming a mom and losing her mother – so the tone is very personal and warm. You can hear it in songs like “Sunshine & Rain…” and “ILYSMIH,” where the main focus is on emotion and not vocals. The album has an honest, direct, and nostalgic delivery.
What the show felt like (from reviews and fans)
Local reviews and fan posts lined up around the same idea: intimate even in an arena. Miami write-ups said the concert flowed like a story, not just a playlist of singles. Houston coverage pointed out the vintage-glam look and how the crowd dresses to match the vibe. A student review from New York called it “massive but still personal” which is basically what the night was built to be. On reddit and socials, the short take was “beautiful show, vocals sooo beautiful.”
Surprise Guests
Los Angeles got the best special guests. One night, Uchis brought out Peso Pluma for the first live performance of “Igual Que Un Ángel.” On another, SZA, Steve Lacey, and Omar Apollo appeared. Those moments turned a tour stop into a mini-festival and reminded everyone connected she is across scenes.
Significance of this tour
Arenas are hard to sell out. Lots of artist may sound good in clubs but when they enter an arena not so much. Uchis is an artist that sounds amazing in arenas, she scaled intimacy and thats not easy. Reviewers praised the flow, fans praised the vocals, and the staging looked polished without going over the top. For her first arena run, thats a win; she made the big space feel close. With Los Angeles finales and surprise guests, she proved she can also create headline moments when she wants to.
