The Scroll interviewed JD Lawless, a catcher for Saugus baseball varsity, he is the starting catcher and has caught for Kaleb in every start. The Scroll asked JD multiple questions, including the following:
- If you were to want to catch anybody on the team at the moment who would it be, JD answered with, Kaleb because he follows what I call and trusts me and that’s the biggest thing any catcher can ask for, he is also one of the best pitchers to catch for because he gets out of innings quick so I don’t have to be out on the field for a long time.
- Why do you believe Kaleb is so successful in all of his outings? JD answered with, Kaleb is one of if not the best pitcher we have on the staff at the moment and he has worked his way up in the rankings and didnt stop working once he got there, he also has great control for all of his pitches including a fastball, curveball, and changeup. His changeup is by far his best pitch because really no hitter can time it up if they are looking for a fastball.
- How good of a teammate is Kaleb? JD answered with, He is one of my favorite teammates because he is one of those guys that you can just go up and talk to really about anything and have a good conversation with. He is also a good teammate because he is always there for the team no matter what and will always have their backs.
Those are all of the questions The Scroll asked JD Lawless about his teammate Kaleb Haag and it really shows that he is loved by his team. All of these factors combined really show how Haag helps pull the team together and helps make everyone on the team better when he’s around, and that’s all you can ask for from a teammate.
