The Superbowl is upcoming and is one of the biggest or maybe the biggest sports events of the year. The Super Bowl is going to be played at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, The super bowl has been hosted at this stadium for 10 years and this will be the eleventh. The stadium can hold up to 76,468 people and can hold so many people who are interested in watching the Superbowl. The game will be on February 9 2025 at 3:30 Pacific Standard time. The two teams playing are the Kansas City Chiefs who are 17-2 and the Philadelphia Eagles who are 17-3, The eagles will be seen as the home team. As of now the Chiefs are predicted to win and are 1.5 point favorites, if they end up winning this will be their third consecutive Superbowl win. The tickets for the Superbowl are extremely expensive and range from 3,307$-21,123$, which can almost be as much as buying a car. For the national anthem singer Joe Batiste who won a Grammy award will be performing. The Halftime show is going to have important and popular singing, Kendrick Lamar who has won 22 Grammys and SZA who has five Grammys will be performing. Even though the setlist has not been publicly said yet it is most likely possible that he will sing “Not Like Us”. Which is one of his most popular songs and is known widely to most everyone. The show is supposed to start at 8PM and go through 8:30PM ET. The referee for this game will be Ron Torbert and has been a referee since 2010 for the NFL, this is his second time being a referee for the Superbowl. He previously refereed the 56 Superbowl,  which included the Los Angeles Rams and the Cincinnati Bengals. Now to get onto the trophy for winning the Superbowl which is one of the most extravagant things out there. The current name of this trophy is the Vince Lombardi trophy which is sterling silver. This trophy is made and produced by Tiffany and Company. This trophy is extremely expensive and is 25,000$ . It weighs around 7 pounds and is 20 inches long. Grace Boon a senior at Saugus High School quotes, “The Super Bowl is one of the biggest events of the year and I can’t wait to be able to watch it, although I am not specifically rooting for their team it is still a very big event.” Overall the Superbowl is an event that brings America together because it is one of the biggest sports here. The game has two great football teams competing with almost the same stats and it should be a great game and everyone that watches football can’t wait to see how it all plays out.
