We all know someone who is a bad driver, for example, your friend or sister. Being a bad driver can make you prone to accidents. When you’re on your phone and not looking at the road, you may hit someone else or someone may possibly hit you. When you are not paying attention on the road you can seriously get hurt. That is why you should be focused on the road and only go on your phone for emergencies. Do not drink while driving and do not do drugs while driving. Driving while intoxicated can get you in trouble with the police and if you are not careful you can get hit. Here are some DOs and DON’Ts.
Do NOT run a red light. Running a red light can cause a huge accident. Always follow the rules of driving. DO keep your eyes on the road and do not get distracted. Getting distracted can cause you to lose focus which can make you lose control of the car. Do NOT speed. Speeding can get you a ticket from the police and it can also get you into a car crash. Driving over the speed limit in bad weather conditions can make the car swerve into something and make your car crash into something/someone. DO wear your seatbelt. Wearing your seatbelt can help you stay safe with a big impact hitting you. Do NOT drive while intoxicated. Being intoxicated by drugs or alcohol can make you have impaired vision which blurs your eyesight making it difficult to see vehicles, people, or other objects. It can also reduce your reaction time which can make it harder to react in time when needed.
In an interview with my sister, the first question iI asked her was how many bad drivers she has encountered. She replied with many and that she almost hit someone because of them. My second question for her is if she knows anyone who is a bad driver. She said that she knows some bad drivers but now there are too many. My third question for her was if she considers herself a bad driver. She answered that she does not think she is a bad driver since she follows all the rules. The fourth and last question I asked her was if she witnessed any car crashes near her. She said that she has witnessed many car crashes because of someone who cannot follow rules.
If you are driving for the first time, make sure you know the general rules of driving. Every vehicle is entitled to the space they are using, with clearance behind and to each side, along with a reasonable stopping distance in front. The most important components of driving safely are the knowledge of your vehicle, the knowledge of the law, and the knowledge of knowing scenario-specific parameters. To give yourself time to react, avoid last minute moves and hazards, always keep your eyes moving and scan the road at least 10 seconds ahead of your vehicle.
