Love is in the air and even though the majority of us like to spend Valentine’s day with their lovers, It’s always good to spend time and give love to your best friends. There are many ways you can celebrate Valentine’s day without it being romantic and making it an even better time while getting to be with your besties. You can paint, give gifts, watch movies, make DIY’s and even host potlucks. Here’s some ways to set everything up. 

Paint & Sip: Grab some canvases, paints  and brushes and set up a cozy painting station. Then grab your favorite drinks, whether that’s some iced coffee, some tea or a simple cup of juice. And to make the activity more interesting, choose a theme! Or not, it’s totally up to you.

 Gift basket exchange:  A gift exchange is a super fun and thoughtful way to celebrate galentines.  Everyone in the group could make heartfelt gift baskets filled with goodies.

• Trinkets; Keychains, pins and stickers 

Make sure to set a budget so everyone can participate without feeling pressured.

Movie night: Pick out some cheesy romance movies,  a ditzy chick flick or some childhood throwbacks to watch and turn your living room into a makeshift movie theater. Set up some cozy blankets and throw pillows. And don’t forget the snacks, pop some popcorn, have some chips out and have some choices of what to drink.

Make patchwork hoodies: Making patchwork hoodies is such an easy and stylish DIY. Buy a plain hoodie from a craft store and some cute fabric in different colors and patterns. Cut your fabric into fun shapes and sew them onto your hoodie using yarn for an extra special touch. You can make your hoodie valentines themed or just a casual everyday design.

Potluck:  Host a potluck where everyone brings a homemade or store bought dish. Put together a charcuterie board with an assortment of meats, cheeses, crackers and fruits. And set out some fun desserts like cookies, cupcakes and chocolate covered strawberries.

To make the hangout more memorable set up some cute balloons, decorations and make sure to take plenty of pictures to look back on later!
