Chi-Chi’s Pizza celebrating its 65 year anniversary was founded by Frank Paul Miccolis. He opened his first Chi-Chi’s in Panorama City in California 1958; the name Chi-Chi’s Pizza came from Frank’s fathers name whose name was Chi-Chi Paul. The logo was inspired by Frank’s eyes and his big glasses and his chef’s hat. I went with my mom to chi-chi’s pizza on a Thursday and as we entered we were immediately seated. For a restaurant it was pretty busy at the time we were seated. The waiter, Leticia, was very informative about the restaurant and its workers, telling us that she and a lot of her coworkers had been here for more than 10 years. As our appetizer we ordered the small Italian Green Salad which our waiter said would be very good: we also got a side of free bread with butter. The salad is very good, consisting of cut onions, cheese, and a lot of Italian dressing; very simple but very good.
After we finished that the waiter came to take our main course which she was very informative and encouraging of me getting the Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo pasta which is one the specialty pasta’s which costed 28.95 dollars. It consisted of their parmigiano-reggiano cream sauce with chargrilled chicken breast and their fresh Fettuccine pasta. My mom ordered the Chicken Parmiga which had a crispy breast filet, served with spaghetti on the side baked in a casserole: which cost 26.75 dollars. We ordered at 5:17 and our food came very quickly, which came at 5:31, which took 14 minutes. Our waiter constantly kept checking in on us and was very kind. The scenario was very nice with dim lights and lots of plants, so very good for a family dinner or date. Ethan, a Saugus freshman, has said that he has had chi-chi’s pizza and he said he had a very good time with his family and that it is very good. He also encouraged many others to go try their shells with meat sauce .
Their menu has a variety of different pastas to different desserts, starters and snacks, beverages, and for the abouts it has a variety of wine and beer. I asked a lot of the waiters about their experience as a chi-chi’s severs and all of them had very similar answers. They all said they have had a very good time at Chi-Chi and they are treated with lots of respect.
Chi-Chi’s Pizza has a rating of 4.6 out of five which is very good. A lot of good reviews as well people saying “We don’t go here very often because it is extremely noisy. But the food is excellent. Love to watch the pizzas being made while waiting for a table. Yes, most of the time you have to wait. Very very popular restaurant. We had a large antipasto salad ($12.75); medium Super Deluxe pizza ($24.20) and three beers. Total $53.00. Would go more often if it wasn’t so busy!” A very happy customer said “Chi Chi’s never disappoints, pizza is consistently great, and we have tried a few of the pasta dishes, salads and soups – all excellent. But overall my experience at Chi-Chi’s Pizza was very good and I would encourage you to go and try some of their food.
