The first place we tried is Dirty Dough Cookies. It opened in May 2024 and is located in Stevenson Ranch. Dirty Dough is best known for the inside of the cookies being soft and chewy and their special filling inside. It was started by Bennet Maxwell and has more than 55 locations across the US. I went to Dirty Dough Cookies in Stevenson’s Ranch and tried out Cookies n Creme, Brookie, Stuffed Chocolate Chip, and more. The customer service was really good and they were really friendly. The cookies are baked freshly which were really warm and soft. In my opinion, they were really good and I really recommend trying them. The brookie in particular was really sweet, and for a more subtle punch of sweetness they could lessen the amount of sweet flavors. It has a caramel filled chocolate chip cookie inside a brownie cookie with a drizzle of caramel. If you have a sweet tooth, this is just the place for you.
The second restaurant is Bonchon, located in Stevenson Ranch and recently opened. It is famous for its crunchy Korean fried chicken and features unique recipes and a wide range of Korean comfort foods on their menu. Bonchon is “My Hometown” in Korean. The restaurant is a Dallas-based international Korean fried chicken restaurant franchise. The owner of Bonchon is Junduk Seo. Currently, there are more than 400 restaurants all around the world. When I went to Bonchon I got the Potstickers and the Tteokbokki which I really loved and really recommend trying on your visit here. The customer service was good. They were very friendly and helped me with anything I needed. The tteokbokki was really spicy and was cooked to the perfect amount of chewy, without being liquidy or hard in the center. The potstickers were really crispy, delicious, and flavorful. It was really seasoned well and was cooked to the perfect amount of heat and steam in the middle. This was overall a great place to eat.
The third restaurant is The Kebab Shop located in Golden Valley. The Kebab Shop is a chain Mediterranean restaurant that is set to be located where Sizzler used to be. It serves rotisserie and grilled kebabs with falafel, salads, and sauces all customized to your liking. When I went to The Kebab Shop, I had grilled chicken and grilled beef meatballs. It was not really my favorite, but it was still enjoyable. If you like chicken and beef, then I really recommend these choices. It has really big portions which is one of the best things about the shop!. The chicken was really juicy and crispy and the grilled meatballs were also very juicy and tender. The staff is friendly and really helpful when choosing what to eat on the large menu. Overall, The Kebab Shop is a great stop for lunch or dinner in SCV!
