Easter is such a fun and festive holiday that celebrates new beginnings and the arrival of spring. It’s a joyful time filled with traditions, love, and hope. Family and friends come together to enjoy egg hunts, decorate eggs, make easter baskets, make easter treats.
One Easter activity you can do with everyone. To dye the eggs you need to mix 1/2 cup boiling water, 1 teaspoon vinegar and 10 to 20 drops of food color in a cup to achieve desired colors. Repeat for each color. You can also buy the kit for the dye at a local grocery store. Some families either hide their decorated eggs, or buy plastic eggs and fill them with candy, and fill the golden egg with money or something special. If you are having the egg hunt for younger kids, you want to hide the eggs in a back or front yard. You can take the colored plastic eggs and fill the with candy, legos, Play-Doh, or stickers. Take the golden egg and fill it with money or something bigger. Then hide the eggs for the kids to find! If the egg hunt is for teenagers you can fill the colored eggs with candy and fill the golden egg with money or gift cards!
Another Easter activity is making Easter baskets! You can get a cute basket, put some fake colored grass in it and put candy, things the person enjoys, like clothes, socks, snack, or even essentials like, TreeHut scrubs, hair essentials, and perfume or cologne. Once you get all the basket goodies, arrange it to make it look organized and then give it to the people or person.
The last Easter activity you can do is make Easter or Spring themed treats! One themed treat is carrot themed patch brownies. To make them you can take your favorite brownie mix or make them homemade. While the brownies are baking you can start making the carrot for the top of the brownie. You are going to take a strawberry, melt white chocolate and add orange food dye. Dip the strawberries in the chocolate and set them aside and put them in the fridge to keep them cool. Once the brownies are done, let them cool and top them with chocolate frosting and crushed oreos, and put the strawberry on top!
