Don’t Worry Darling is a film that is taking the media by storm. It’s a psychological thriller directed by Olivia Wilde, starring Harry Styles as Jack and Florence Pugh as Alice. You can obviously see the appeal. From the sound of it, this movie is the average fan girl’s dream. Or is it? Recently the media has broken down the latest drama that stands between the cast. Especially from Olivia and “Miss Flo.” And trust me, this drama is not appealing at all. Let’s break it down.

In April of 2020, Olivia Wilde announced Don’t Worry Darling starring Florence, Shia LeBeouf, and Chris Pine. At this time everyone was happy and content with this upcoming new thriller. Florence announced the casting on her Instagram, expressing how excited she is to work with “her idol” Olivia and the rest of the cast. Immediately after, Shia dropped out and was swapped with Harry Styles. Shia claimed he could no longer do the movie due to scheduling conflicts. So far so good.

 Allegedly in November 2020, Florence told Olivia of her discomfort with Shia. At the same time, FKA Twigs came out about being horribly abused by Shia. Olivia supported Twigs and told the media that Shia didn’t drop out – he was fired due to his history of abuse. Odd how the reasoning changed. On top of that, a video came out of Olivia, begging Shia to come back on set and make peace with Florence. Meanwhile rumors arose, revealing that Olivia and Harry are going out. Shortly after, Olivia and her ex-husband Jason Sudeikis divorced. Gross. 

During the filming, it is clear that Olivia was too occupied with her famous boyfriend. It is said that Harry and Olivia were absent on set many times, so the cast and mostly Florence had to take over. Clearly, this is not the job Florence signed up for. For the rest of the filming and during the release, Florence consequently refused to promote Don’t Worry Darling. 

Meanwhile, Olivia praised her and the rest of her team. Florence never shows up to interviews or press conferences, and she is never seen standing next to Harry or Olivia. Obviously, I wouldn’t want to stand next to two amateurs that care more about making out than their own job. Then, there’s the Venice International Film Festival 2022. The whole cast of DWD walked on the red carpet (including Florence) and prepared for the screening. 

It was a huge fiasco: Harry and Olivia avoided each other, Florence didn’t show up to the conference, and Harry spit on Chris Pine’s lap! It is unbelievable how unstable the whole situation is. Harry and Chris claim that none of that happened. Yet on the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, Nick Kroll was being interviewed. Nick informed that he told Harry to spit on Chris’s lap. So what I gathered from all this information (which I got from Tiktok, Instagram, Youtube, and across the internet) is that everyone is lying about everything and Florence is a goddess who doesn’t have time for that.
