Doro Wat

Doro Wat is a well known and delicious dish in Ethiopia; despite it taking a few days to make, it is a very delicious dish and enjoyable. It is strongly recommended that you should cook this meal with a friend or parent.  The ingredients consist of red onions, marinated chicken, boiled eggs, butter, garlic, and ginger. These ingredients are very important in making this dish very scrumptious ! Cook time for this dish is at least 45 minutes and this meal should be cooked on low heat  for approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes . When cooking, there’s a special type of sauce that Ethiopian dishes compliment, by using spices to add in a sense of unique taste. This spice is called Berbere. In a way, it is like hot sauce for this type of dish. Remember, this dish calls for a big pot, almost like making gumbo. Add 1 tablespoon of  garlic, ginger, and 3 tablespoons of butter for another 20 minutes. Let the marinated chicken be on low heat for 30-45 minutes and the last ingredient is to add salt and lastly enjoy this international and cultural food. On a side note, doro wat is usually eaten with a soft bread, texture food called: Injera. Injera is usually eaten with every Ethiopian dish when eating this delicious dish.

Tibs

A reviewer who spoke on the taste of this dish said “ Amazing quality and well priced authentic Ethiopian Food. Tibs was my favorite overall dish, really well flavored. Highly recommend!”. This dish is usually cooked on a low heat pan preferably to be cooked outdoors or indoors. Also , some secondary  taste ingredients are garlic, chopped onions, green bell peppers, and a little bit of ginger. An enjoyable dish to even enjoy as an extra dinner just in case your stomach isn’t full !

Kitfo

Kitfo is one of the top favored Ethiopian dishes in the country. Likewise, the ingredients for this dish are surprising and usually consists of raw meat typically cut into small pieces but that is completely up to the chef ! This specific dish is best to be cooked indoors in a kitchen space area and consists of these specific ingredients: 2 lbs of freshly cut round beef, 6 teaspoons of cayenne pepper, 4 tablespoons of butter, 1 teaspoon of cardamom powder, and if necessary 1⁄4 teaspoon of garlic powder. Another ingredient that is needed  for this dish is french bread or the usual Injera which is a type of flatbread made out of a special type of flower used to add when eating mostly Ethiopian dishes.
