Halloween Horror Nights is an event held at Universal Studios every year from late August through early November. The attractions, including the themed haunted houses, the haunted tram, scare zones, and select rides, bring in over one million people each year and over one hundred and fifty million dollars annually. This year, halloween horror nights offers mazes themed by the post popular horror movies.

This year’s mazes at Halloween Horror Nights bring together a strong mix of classics with a few new twists. Jason Universe puts you right in the middle of Camp Crystal Lake, with cabins and dark woods that feel straight out of the movies. Terrifier delivers disturbing scares with unsettling scenes and jumpy surprises around every corner. The Five Nights at Freddy’s maze identically recreates the creepy pizzeria from the games, complete with flickering lights and animatronics that keep you uneasy the whole way through.
Fallout takes a post-apocalyptic turn, surrounding you with ruins and an ominous sense of danger. And Poltergeist makes a big return, pulling you into the haunted house full of eerie rooms, ghostly figures, and that unforgettable sense of something supernatural just out of sight. Together, the mazes balance nostalgia with fresh frights, giving fans a variety of spooky experiences to look forward to.
The infamous Terror Tram, one of the most popular attractions at Halloween Horror Nights, drops you off in the middle of a scare-zone and takes you through several haunted houses. This year, the mini houses were themed as different Blum House Horror Movies, such as The Black Phone and The Purge. An estimated 6-14 thousand guests ride this tram every night at Universal Studios. Visitor Addison Borland rated the tram ride a 10/10, claiming she “loved the makeup and dedication of all the actors.” Addison believes the scare zones are perfectly crafted to scare thousands and offer different and personal experiences to each person. This makes the Tram one of the most iconic attractions during Halloween Horror Nights.
