The Saugus Cents have started strong! Starting off there season 3-0!!! The first win was against Buena, Then Oak park, And now Carmarillo! The teams stats have been crazy. All decently high-scoring games, highest score for Saugus being 51. Star receiver Landon Lattimore had a couple words to say after the first few weeks.
“Honestly the teams playing really good. We’ve all been hungry coming in as underdogs, and its really showing through. Only up from here.”
That shows how Saugus is coming different this year. This week they play Hueneme. Landon also had some words to say about this game.
“We are very locked in. We’re all trying super hard in practice. Don’t really know anything about this team, if there good or bad, but they will definitely be getting a fight.”
Landon so far has 230 receiving yards and 9 touchdowns. He is set to have a break out season. With more to come this Friday against Hueneme. Other players like Ty Hall, Teddy Knott, Jake Nuttall, and more have also contributed to these big wins. Saugus, two years ago went winless, last year only winning two games, and this year now beating that with three so far. This is very exciting for the Saugus community. Everyone on campus is stoked and excited to see more.
The student sections have been crazy. Led by our amazing Blue Crew, everyone is hype. All the students want to see Saugus dominate and we’re hoping they do! With an amazing coaching staff and player community, we are set. Hope to see great things from this group of young men!
