The fall season is coming up fast as the breeze starts to get crisp and the leaves start to brown. Finally the weather starts to get cool and you just need to have a playlist to match the vibe outside. This Fall playlists consists of cute, warm songs and also some spooky picks.
Cute Songs:
The first song to add to your playlist is Sweater Weather by The Neighborhood. Sweater Weather is a classic Autumn/Fall song. Being just in the name of the song, Sweater Weather has the feel of walking outside to a cool breeze and a satisfying chill runs through your body. The song is a love song about being interconnected. In all, this song is just perfect to add to your Fall playlist. Some other songs that match this vibe are 505 by The Arctic Monkeys, Cigarette Daydreams by Cage the Elephant and Need You Now by Lady A.
Another song to add to your playlist is Rosyln by St. Vincent & Bon Iver. Being known for being in the Twilight saga, Rosyln has all the components of a Fall song. The guitar strums and violin bring the whole song together. The lyrics talk about being “haunted by the memory of someone you love.” This song is just a perfect example of Fall and really highlights the feel of Autumn.
Funeral Phoebe Bridgers is such a heart touching song. Fitting into the Fall category, this song talks about the grieving of losing someone you once loved. Even though the song might be sad, the aesthetic and vibe of the song just gives off a Fall feel. Though there is not really a clear message of the song, the beat gives off pumpkin spice and a costume shopping ambiance. Almost being creepy, Insomniac just fits perfectly into the Fall/ Autumn vibe. Spooky Songs:
The first spooky song to add to your playlist is Rock Lobster by The B-52’s. Released in 1978, the gothic mood of this song is a perfect fit for Halloween time coming up. The fictional lyrics talk about “Rock Lobsters” taking over a beach party.
Another creepy song is Goo Goo Muck by The Cramps. A 1981 drop, the Goo Goo Muck is a world wide known song that many people have listened to, or heard of. Featured in the Netflix show, Wednesday, the song resurfaced bringing more attention to the audience.
Boogie Woogie Wu is a cool track by Insane Clown Posse. It captures the perfect horrorcore and dark theme, meant for Halloween time. It writes as an ominous story of a character named Boogie Woogie Wu, a man with a weird addiction for causing chaos. It narrates the characters adventures, being abrupt and impulsive. This song fits perfectly in the spooky playlist.
Cypress Hill’s Insane in the Membrain is a bold masterpiece, capturing a story of insanity. Being a very well known song, it really captures the spooky tone not only by the beat but also by the lyrics. Talking about engaging in insane activity without thinking about the consequences. This song is a perfect addition to the playlist.
Puttin’ on the Ritz by Taco emphasizes the hotel brand The Ritz Carlton and dressing luxurious to match the profile of the hotel itself. The spookiness of oldies fashion contributes to the creepy vibes of the actual song. Movies like The Shining, Clue and American Psycho hold a similar feeling of what the song tries to portray.

Question 1-Have you ever listened to these songs, if so which one is your favorite? Answer- “I have listened to a majority of these songs. My favorite out of these songs would have to be Roslyn though. It reminds me of twilight and I feel like the aesthetic of Twilight just gives off fall. Question 2- What are some things you like to do in Fall? Answer- “Well I love getting Pumpkin Spice things like candles and drinks and stuff. Ironically I love to listen to my personal fall playlist as well. I love getting dressed for the cool weather like sweaters too. Question 3- If you could pick THE Fall song that everyone should have on their playlist, what would it be? Answer- “I would say my favorite Fall song would have to be Sweater Weather. Even though its really popular, it will forever be a classic in my book and I will forever listen to it at anytime of the year.”
