As school starts, and football games start to appear on Friday nights, In-N-Out seems to be the number one place after football games to have a nice meal and have some fun. Sometimes high schoolers lack manners, following a high school football game in Saugus, approximately 100 teenagers caused a disturbance at an In-N-Out, with reports of them jumping on a car and creating noise.
Deputies were dispatched following calls reporting a group of teenagers causing a disturbance to the public, some evening jumping on a car. One caller stated that a possible fight was going to break out, and another reported “The teenagers were jumping on top of a car” he said. “It’s unknown if the vehicle sustained any damage,” he added.
Once the deputies arrived at the location, the crowd of teens dispersed from the scene, some of them even jumping onto the beds of their own trucks or others, and playing loud music.
This disturbance from the teens made the decision for In-N-Out to be forced to close the main lobby. (pic from) : https://www.santaclarita.com/news/news_synopsis.php?id=43243#:~:text=Following%20a%20high%20school%20football,a%20car%20and%20creating%20noise.
This has caused growing concerns from residents and local businesses, if this becomes a recurring thing, businesses will want to close early from not wanting any disturbances. Ways we can fix this is to learn common courtesy in public.
Teens can have fun while not causing a disturbance while out in public by not making too many big crowds and everyone is in their own little group. Teens can have fun in lowkey social activities like visiting places in nature such as hiking or having a picnic, or even visiting a museum or library. Community events like concerts and festivals can be fun social activities where you can be loud and have a fun time!
Interview:
Ava George – Sophomore at Saugus
What are ways you think you can have a good time in public without causing a disturbance?
A G : Just kind of think before you do any actions, think will this affect anything if i do it, and make sure you’re not breaking the laws or anything that might get you in trouble.
What are your thoughts about what happened at In-n-Out on Friday?
A G : I think it’s just kinda rude how because of their actions they had to close early and police were called.
