
At this time of year sports are very active and busy. Spring sports are in around the middle of their season and are doing great things so far. All sports have achieved many great things and are very excited to see how the season will end.
Softball: Varsity and Jv are both undefeated in league. Varsity is currently 8-0 in league, outside of league their record is 19-4. They have had extremely big wins against Valencia and West Ranch. They have come back strong in games as well as starring the game off onto a good start by getting ahead fast. Saugus’s lineup is unmatched with big hitters and their defense is very strong which helps win games. They are expected to finish the season off strong and have a great end to their season.
Baseball: They have been hitting well and their pitching has been carrying them to many of their wins. Kaleb Haag has thrown a complete game against Golden Valley and has been a major part of their success of their season. On the hitting side Matt Long has been hitting very well, he has a home run on the season and has been fielding very well for Saugus. Baseball’s record is 14-8 this season and is hoping to make the playoffs and win the league. Baseball is hoping to finish this season off on a good foot and is excited to see where the rest of the season takes them.
Swim and Dive: Swim and dive is doing extremely well this season and has achieved many huge accomplishments. Noah Vargas qualified to compete against the top divers from Southern California at the CIF meet which is a huge accomplishment of his. They have been putting a tremendous amount of practice into their swim meets. Logan Divine has set a new school record for the 100m Fly with a very impressive time of 50.35s. This is an incredible thing for Logan to have set a new record.
Girls Lacrosse: Varsity is currently in second place which is extremely good. The JV team is undefeated in league. They have had such a good season with many wins and should be extremely proud of themselves. They have put in so much effort and work this season and it is paying off. Everyone is very excited to see how they end this season and finish off the 2024-2025 season.
