Date and History
The 67th annual Grammys are taking place on February 2, 2025 at 5:00 pm PST. This yearly award show began in 1958 and was intended to recognize achievements made by all different types of music artists, whether they are well established or recently new. The Grammys on average last for about 3 hours but it essentially depends on how many winners there are and how long they speak for. Nominations for the 67th annual Grammys were released on November 8, 2024.

There are many categories for these awards, but the main four that receive the most media attention and anticipation are Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Best New Artist, Record of the Year and 90 others (for a total of 94 possible Grammy categories).

Saugus High School senior Alessandra Aguilar believes that the Best New Artist winner should be Teddy Swims, saying, “I love his songs ‘Lose Control’ and ‘Bad Dreams.’” When asked if there was a specific artist she hoped would win a Grammy this year, Alessandra said, “Billie Eilish […] because she has been around for so long and has already won so many awards, so why not give her one more?”
