Mr. Fricke is a counselor at Saugus High School and he just recently got a promotion. This promotion is a WASC commissioner, which stands for Western Association of schools and colleges. He is in charge of approving accreditation terms. Fricke is one of the 35 commissioners for the California Teachers Association. This job requires him to be at a bunch of meetings and he is recently going to Hawaii for a meeting for WASC. Mr. Fricke is a prominent figure in our community. This job shows Fricke’s dedication to educational success.
Fricke has had over 24 years of experience of counseling. He has been a counselor at
Saugus and has helped many students. From helping with classes to connecting with students. His favorite part of counseling is helping students. Mr. Fricke dedicates his career to helping students to their success until the reach of graduation. Mr. Fricke is known as being the counselor who is patient and understanding.
Mr. Fricke’s new job requires way more things than a counselor job requires. He is kind of like the messenger between colleges and schools. Basically Fricke sees if each school in California is doing everything right and everything is in check. Mr. Fricke is a very important figure in our Santa Clarita Community as well as Saugus High School. He has helped students and now even different schools. He is now becoming a commissioner at WASC. He will be a very busy person on top of still working here at Saugus High school.
I interviewed Mr. Fricke and got his point of view about his job of a counselor at Saugus and becoming a commissioner at WASC. He says that his favorite thing about being a counselor is helping the students with classes and other things. Fricke has helped many students, even a couple of juniors too. He has been at Saugus High School for over 20 years. Mr. Fricke is a very funny and nice person inside and outside of school. His new job of being a commissioner is kind of similar to being a counselor.
Mr. Fricke really changed the kid’s points of view and he is a really important person. I have seen him help many kids at Saugus. Mr. Fricke is always a nice and funny person and is always in a good mood. A lot of kids grow up thinking of their teachers or counselors as people who help them, and even role models. Mr. Fricke is a great role model and really shows how school can be a welcoming place and not a scary place. Especially for freshmen, they think that High School is scary and hard. He really changes the kid’s points of view and makes high school not seem so scary. Saugus High School is a welcoming school and Mr. Fricke makes it even more welcoming.
Mr. Fricke’s new position is a really good change for our community and even all around California. He will be meeting new people and figuring out if schools are doing everything they are supposed to. He has been a very good figure as a counselor at Saugus High School and now will be a good figure for all of California by helping each school and not just our school.
Mr. Fricke’s new job also lets him travel a lot and meet new people and schools. He definitely will be a great role model for not just other people but also schools. Our school and students are so grateful for having Mr. Fricke and would love to have him stay but also we are so happy for him to be becoming a commissioner at WASC.
WASC is very lucky to have our old counselor at Saugus High school, Marty Fricke. HE has been a great counselor here at Saugus and a great role model for students.
