[Her] least favorite part of working as a student is that it can be difficult to manage school and work and be able to do [her] shifts as well as [her] homework.”
“[She] would definitely recommend working a job to other students because it helps with skills that many students haven’t learned like social skills and how to work as an employee. [She] also feels more independent now that [she] has her own income. The workload isn’t too bad. Sometimes it can be hard, but it’s manageable. Since most of [her] shifts are only four and a half hours, [she] usually has enough time to finish all [her] schoolwork…[She] definitely recommends retail stores, especially Tilly’s, to others because [she] feels like [She] has learned so much from working there and [she] likes working at a place that [she] likes to shop at herself. Also, [she] finds that the hours are really good, especially during back to school time, which gives [her] an opportunity to make more money.”
