Club day is a day where all of the clubs come out and introduce themselves to everyone at campus. Club day is an important day to all students, whether they are in clubs or not. When the clubs come out, they have games and candy to give out; all the clubs on campus participate and try to gain publicity by showing what their club does. The more publicity the club has the more people will want to join and the more people that want to join makes the club bigger. Every club on campus would love to have the chance to have a new student in their club so that they can help them become a better person in school and in life. While club day might be a day where new students get anxious because they don’t know what clubs to join, clubs try their hardest to make it fun and try to let the new students have fun while being there.
Literary Magazine (Lit Mag) leader, Isabella Celi, says, “The purpose of the club is to give a voice to the youth through art. Lit Mag is one of the most accepting environments I have ever been a part of. I have been able to express myself freely through my creativity over the past almost four years because of the welcoming atmosphere Lit Mag provides. Other than club day, we have numerous fundraisers outside of school as well as our renowned valentunes. Valentunes is a special event where Lit Mag invites the students of Saugus high school to celebrate valentine’s day by purchasing a live romantic performance to send to anyone of your valentines or friends. But most importantly we have our festival of the arts. This is where Lit Mag and family, friends, and students are able to attend the art festival we host at the end of each year. This event highlights each price of art accepted into our magazine. It includes live performances of writing pieces selected, an art gallery, live music, catering, and so much more. We will be participating in club day where we will be showcasing our previous magazines for students to look through and enjoy art. We will also be talking more about the festival of arts.” Isabella Celi is a leader of Lit Mag and has been in Lit Mag since she was a freshman.
