But don’t think it’s for an entire day, before sunrise they call it. Sehri, which is around 4-5 AM. Eating and drinking before they start to fast. At the time of sunset, they would call it Iftar. Being able to eat and drink. Their second meal of the day is eating foods like fruit and vegetables. Dates. Rice and alternatives, as well as meat and alternatives (which include dairy)
During this month people would give a lot to charity, and read their holy book. The Quran. The importance of this month is to recognize the pain and hunger some people are unfortunate to go through—those who don’t have a proper meal or even a meal in general. Yet some exceptions are pregnant women, women on their menstrual cycle, people with illness, and much more. But they can fortunately make this up at a later time before the next Ramadan. That is only if you can.
