To celebrate our three-day weekend, I went to Big Bear with my boyfriend’s family! During our stay in Big Bear, we did a lot of fun activities. So, if you and your family are planning on going to Big Bear anytime soon, here are some fun things you can do to make your stay as enjoyable as possible!
One fun activity to do during your mountainous stay is to go down to the Big Bear Alpine Zoo! This zoo has so many different animals including a grizzly bear family, black bears, cougars, different kinds of foxes, eagles, wolves, skunks, birds, and even bobcats! This zoo was super fun and interactive. There were workers walking around who would answer any questions the guests may have. These employees were great and even thorough enough to go into detail about the animals and how they got them, too! This zoo is cool because they’re animals who wouldn’t be able to survive in the wild and are safer in the zoo rather than being released into their natural habitats.
Another fun thing to do in Big Bear is going shopping on Village Drive. They have so many fun little stores that are a lot of fun to go into! They have tons of souvenir stores, candy shops, and ice cream shops! Village Drive is a great place to explore because they have so much to look for, and they have something for everyone! Not only is it fun to explore but it’s decorated super cozy and cute. This is a great place to spend time with a significant other, or even take a break from your family on this trip!
When going to a big bear make sure to be prepared for the super cold weather! During my stay at Big Bear the weather was extremely cold, so make sure you dress accordingly with tons of layers! But if you happen to forget to prepare, don’t worry because they have tons of places where you can purchase cute sweaters!
When in Big Bear, there are multiple places where you are able to go down tube slides and even a small adventure park where they have slides that you can ride, bumper karts, and two roller coasters! They are fun, small-town type of theme parks to visit when in a big bear!
