On Halloween night, people have the opportunity to express themselves by dressing up as whatever they want. But, celebrating the holiday of Halloween does not have to be a one-day activity, it can be an entire season. You can attend art classes, a Trunk or Treat a Monster Mash, or even a Yoga Class. All of which are available locally in Santa Clarita!
On October 7th from 6:00 pm- 9:00, at 24509 Walnut St, Suite #203. There is a SuperCraft: Hocus Pocus Book class. Entry is $25 for the material fee. In this gathering, you will be creating your own spell book just like the Sanderson sisters from the movie Hocus Pocus. Arts and crafts can get expensive for those trying to enjoy a one-time activity who are not enthusiasts. However, don’t worry the supplies will be provided to make your own spell book. A Trunk or Treat is being held by the First Presbyterian Church of Newhall. It is held on Saturday, October 21st from 3:00-5:00 pm. The event is free and costumes are encouraged. Music, treats, and games are all provided! Make sure to bring your own bag for all of your goodies!
There is a Spooky Beans Halloween Children’s Yoga Workshop! On Sunday, October 29, kids from ages 9-13 are welcome from noon-1:30. Then children ages 4-8 are meeting from 2:00-3:30. It is $25 per adult and child. You can dress up, as well! You can learn beginner meditation skills, and breathing techniques and practice many poses. You can sing, dance, and leave the event feeling relaxed and grounded. The parents can stay during the kids workshop and a separate all levels flexibility yoga class will be hosted. The Santa Clarita Library is hosting a scavenger hunt on Tuesday, October 31st from 4:00-5:00 pm. Join them in the children’s area and receive some spooky treats! You can attend the event dressed up and get ready to hear spooky stories. There is also a different event for the older children, ages 7+.
Painting with a Twist is holding an event at their facility. The art studio is offering easy-to-follow painting classes for groups or individuals. This will be held from 4:00-5:50 pm on October 25th. The kids get to paint Halloween Skeletons! All the materials needed will be provided. Skeleton Photo On Saturday, October 28th, from 12:00-4:00 pm there will be a Family Fall Festival hosted by Studio City Recreation Center. Bring cash for the food and games provided. It is free to enter including music, games, face painting, and community booths. The first 300 people in attendance will earn free candy! Wear a costume because there will be a costume contest!
